You’ve probably noticed that I have a special place in my heart for Skruf. Tranbar<\/a>, Jordskott, and Manstoft<\/a> are easily in my top five list. But when it comes to a plain white portion, nothing has knocked Tre Ankare off of the pedestal in my mind. (In fact: the only reason I haven’t written up a page for Tre Ankare or Jordskott is because I went through the cans before I could get a picture, and now I’m trying to get through all of the other cans I have before going back to them.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everybody — but everybody — will point you to Tre Ankare, Ettan, and General when it comes to a plain white portion. So you might ask yourself “Why wouldn’t I go with what’s tried and true?” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because Skruf does it differently. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can’t go wrong with Tre Ankare or Ettan. But where either of them could easily be described as “kinda like tea”, Skruf’s addition of rose oil seems to lighten the flavor without taking flavor away. It almost counters the natural citrus you get from the bergamot, so you get a hint of sourness that’s tempered by a very<\/em> light rose. And throughout a session with White #2, the flavor is natural and consistent. There’s no perfume sensation from the rose, there’s no point where one flavor dies out before the other. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Tre Ankare holds the crown for an standard white portion, Skruf White #2 comes in at a not-distant second to me. I’d take it over Ettan White or General 10 times out of 10. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not surprisingly, I love the Skruf format. The portion size is exactly what I hope for in a regular size. The material is supremely comfortable. The drip is very light. The nicotine hit is, again, just slightly higher than I expect from a two-dot 0.8% portion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re looking for an everyday snus, this is a contender. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
