In the long, long ago, I was introduced to these French violet candies, which had an anise seed in the center: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I pick them up whenever I happen to come across them in the store, and even have them imported from time to time. So when I found that one of my favorite candy flavors was a new flavor in my favorite series of my favorite brand, I jumped all over<\/em> it. And Skruf did not disappoint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flavor is dead on. Obviously, it isn’t as sweet as candy, but the aroma and taste you get on every breath is exactly what I was hoping for. I’ve noticed that Skruf can be a little salty, but the Nyans series tones it down quite a bit, especially relative to something like Tranbar<\/a> (which is another favorite). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You wind up with a gentle back-and-forth between the violet flavor and the more traditional Skruf tobacco flavor. Which is to say: heavier and deeper than Tre Ankare (which I still need to do a write-up for) but not as deep as G\u00f6teborgs Rap\u00e9 (which, apparently, I also need to write up). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The portion itself is very<\/strong> comfortable, and the drip is just enough to keep the flavor and nicotine going for at least a full hour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the nicotine front, once again, Skruf offers this up as a two-dot normal strength portion, but somehow seems to deliver a bit more. I don’t think anyone expecting a strong portion is going to be impressed, but if you’re accustomed to normal strength, you may discover a welcome buzz. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the unusual flavor, I could easily have this in a multiple day rotation, and be a happy guy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
