I’m back!
The two or three avid readers out there may have thought I abandoned using snus, or this page and… okay, I kind of abandoned the page for a bit. I got into a groove and hadn’t really tried anything worth writing about. This seemed like a weird one, so I thought I’d get back to it.
I know this isn’t real snus. It’s a nicotine pouch, and for the most part, I’m not a big fan of nicotine pouches. But I try to check in with them from time to time to see if they’ve improved over the years.

The interesting twist with this one is that the main ingredient is allegedly mint leaves — which makes sense on this specific variant, but there are other flavors that also use mint leaves. I get why Frost Wood would be minty, but I’m not so sure about Berry Valley or Sicilian Sunset. I guess I’ll find out, because I ordered those, too.
First impressions: visually, this is an oddity. Take a look:

While there’s shadowing from my phone, it really is a very green color. I plumped one up and popped it in, and immediately got a burst of flavor almost identical to Doublemint gum, which has been my holy grail for mint flavors since my very first snus order.
Unfortunately, the flavor lasts for about as long as Doublemint. After maybe five or ten minutes, it gets subdued, and past the 15 minute mark, I can start to taste the artificial sweeteners and something just a tad salty.
The nicotine hit does give a nice kick, however. My daily go-to is Nick and Johnny’s Americana which clocks at 15 mg, so I’m used to something with a little kick, but I think this would be especially good first thing in the morning. Not something I’d want all day, or for a long time in a session. But it would make a nicer start to the morning. And if you’re curious, no, it doesn’t seem to turn my teeth green.

Another curious thing happening here is that the back label is in Polish. Running it through Google Translate, there’s nothing that jumped out at me as an unusual nicotine pouch ingredient. And buried within the Polish text is something about this having been made in the EU. It didn’t specifically say “Made in Poland” but my guess is the Krakow address at the end is probably where it came from? But prior to today, I hadn’t tried any nicotine products from Poland before. At least… not that I was aware of.
