Skruf Nyans Havsbris

If you’ve read my other Skruf notes, you already know that I’m a huge fan of their products. And, I’m a pretty big fan of the Nyans series specifically. But, Havsbris was one I held off on. The description just didn’t resonate with me — but, I wanted to give it a try. After all, one person’s bliss is another’s poison, or something like that.

Skruf’s container says “inslag av friska örter” which Google Translate says means “elements of healthy herbs”. (And “Havsbris” means “Sea Breeze”.)

I intentionally chose not to read or translate the descriptions, so that I could come in to this blind, so to speak.

On the initial opening, I didn’t really get any sort of unique scent. It could be a plain white portion, and I’d say “okay”. There isn’t much of Skruf’s signature salty bite, but for some reason, the portion material feels a little scratchy. As far as flavor… medicinal is probably the best I can come up with. There’s some kind of herbal something happening here, but almost like someone accidentally mixed in a few fennel seeds and a Halls cough drop at the Skruf factory.

Wait… is this supposed to taste like RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICOLAAAAAAAAAAA?

Probably not. But it isn’t good. I don’t know what a Swedish sea breeze is like, but this doesn’t make me want to visit Sweden, that’s for sure. For those of you keeping score, this is officially the first Skruf product I seriously dislike.

As for the portion itself, drip is minimal, as expected with Skruf white portions. Nicotine punch doesn’t seem to be anything really notable. It’s a regular strength portion. It feels like a regular strength portion. The portion size is the usual perfection I’ve come to expect from Skruf, though the material seems slightly less soft than every other Skruf portion I’ve had. It could be that I just happened to grab one that wasn’t perfect, but I don’t plan to have more to find out.
