Sisu Original – The Emperor

Right out of the gate here: how is this so cheap? The regular price is under $3 just about everywhere, and I picked it up for the regular $2.29 price at my usual supplier.

I felt like I was taking a chance on this, given how it costs so much less than… well, just about everything. I thought the can looked cool, and wanted to try a strong potion without spending a lot. Enter: The Emperor.

As a regular white portion, you’re going to get a lot of the same ol’ “it’s kinda like tea and tobacco”, but I found The Emperor to be quite a bit more unique. There’s a distinct sourness to it that almost has the tang of a quality sourdough bread. It passes after 20 minutes, give or take. It grabs a little bit, though, and is the strange sort of flavor that — at least, if you like sourdough bread — makes you want to come back for more.

Next to Tre Ankare, this is near the top of my list for “regular” white portions I’ve found myself craving.

The portion itself is quite comfortable, and a little on the big side. Not the most discreet thing in the world, but you won’t double-check to see if you accidentally bought slim portions. And coming in at a hefty 2% nicotine, it never left me wanting. In fact, I hardly mind being out of cigarettes at the moment.

Speaking of nicotine, I’ve found that higher nicotine levels tend to produce a harsher drip that leaves my throat feeling scratchy. Not so with The Emperor. The drip isn’t appreciably different than a regular strength portion. Really impressive. And to top it off, the drip is pretty reserved.
