Snubie x Bourbon Whiskey & Vanilla Portion

In the long, long ago, there was an American e-juice producer called Johnson Creek. When they first started out (long before the days of sub-ohm coils), almost all of their juices looked and tasted like they were based in vanilla extract.

That was the instant flashback I had with this. The vanilla is VERY forward, and initially overpowers everything else about this portion. A few minutes in, the vanilla calms down a bit and becomes more like vanilla ice cream. The bourbon is present, but not like the tobacco was soaked in Knob Creek for a while. It’s more of a candy bourbon that becomes very pleasant as it all melds together with notes of caramel.

And… what’s that? Oooh. A buzz like my first cigarette of the day, but in the early evening! Gentle, but potent. I didn’t realize that this was a strong portion when I bought it. Just a tiny bit more drip than I’d usually like in a white portion, but the steady flavor makes it welcome.

The portion size and material is just about perfection, too. Juuuuuust right. I’ve mentioned it on the “About Me” page, and want to reiterate that I have no intentions at all of competing with Snubie. That’s not what this site’s about, and if you haven’t, you should definitely visit snubie.com. But this is just further proof that he’s the authority on snus.

Whiplash. The first minute, all I could think of was how I was going to give away the three other cans I have. Now I’m kicking around getting a roll or two of this limited edition to keep in my freezer.

As with many of the sweeter snuses, this comes with sweetener, though Ministry of Snus opted to go with stevia. I don’t mind saying here that I appreciate the use of a natural sweetener — and in keeping with the “snus doesn’t wreck your teeth” evidence, stevia doesn’t cause cavities.

Unless you’re unable to handle a strong portion (and make no mistake, it is rather strong!), you need to pick this up while you can.
