Oden’s Cold Original Portion

I didn’t understand what made Oden’s so polarizing until I opened this. In fact, when I placed my first snus order, I knew I wanted to add something from Oden’s to my cart, and thought that I’d go with one of the most basic varieties. Regular portion. Regular strength. Cold.

Back to opening… MINT. MIIIIIINT. M I N T !
Oden loaded up his mint green Volvo full of mint to blow it up in a field of mint. So much mint, I could smell this on a shelf about two feet away, about two weeks after opening it.

I love spearmint, but this is too much. It burned as soon as it touched my mouth, and simply did not let go. It magically made my teeth feel cold. And as much as I disliked it, I can’t help but wonder if this would be the kick in the pants I need in the morning, which would have me reaching for snus instead of a cigarette. In fact… maybe going with Oden’s Cold Extreme Portion might get me over that hump. (Note to self: put that in my cart now.)

The drip was about what I’d expect from a regular portion. Definitely more than a white portion, but not so much that I felt a need to spit.

As an all-day snus, I don’t think I could go with this. After about an hour or so, I wanted to get away from the mint. Like it was starting to make me feel queasy. You should try it to get a feel for the rest of the Oden’s line, but if you’re looking for a great spearmint, I’m still feeling pretty solid about The Lab #12.
