G.4 Blush Slim All White Ginger Blood Orange

Now that’s a loooooong name!

Interestingly, G.4 is not totally tobacco-free, though Swedish Match developed the series to not have a tobacco flavor. As far as consistency and overall feel, it reminds me a lot of the Skruf Super White series.

When I first opened this, there was a huge rush of citrus. I love citrus and ginger, so I was sure this was going to be a winner. However, I couldn’t believe how much it BURNED. Yeah, it was packed with citrus and ginger flavor, but I couldn’t comfortably keep it in my mouth for more than 10 minutes.

Sadly, I set it aside. Then a few days later, I gave it another shot. My theory here is that giving this a short while to “settle down” makes a huge difference. This time, there wasn’t a strong burn — though there was definitely a bit of a tingle going. The flavor was still there, though.

With so many flavors, you hear “natural” thrown around a lot. Well, this doesn’t taste very natural. It’s almost like three parts blood orange San Pellegrino mixed with one part of Vernor’s ginger ale. And it’s very sweet.

A note on sweetness: according to Swedish Match, this contains artificial sweetener. Specifically: acesulfame K.

Drip was middle of the road, with a little harshness that I think comes from the ginger flavoring.

Not something I’d buy by the roll, but definitely worth trying out if you want a fruity and spicy addition to your rotation.
